Record "what you hear" freeware

I'd like to be able to record various internet sound files to mp3 so I can save them and listen to them on my Ipod or put them on a cd.

Anyone know of any good freeware that will do this?

I'm using Windows Vista, so that may be a problem.....I do have Audacity but for some reason I keep getting an error when I try to record.

Don't use that software! It screwed up my machine by adding an additional program! My task bar wouldn't work and I couldn't click on anything, plus it was running my hard drive constantly and running my CPU on full. I had to restart in safe mode and run system restore to make it stop.

I'm running Vista 64 bit.

There's a setting in Windows somewhere that re-enables that functionality in Audacity on Vista.

When I try this, there's no device listed under Recording.

Conclusion, Vista sucks.
