Cool Recording with Carol Channing

Sign in to disble this ad
So I was gigging with Carol Channing for a bit a few years ago, interesting but Hello Dolly isn't exactly my cup of tea, but it payed pretty well and they were good gigs. Anyways, about 6 months ago she was recording a song for a Modesto charity that the pianist in my trio wrote and I got the call to lay down the bass track.

Here ya go, "Modesto, My Home Town" by John Wyatt with yours truly on bass.......

Much better! Very nice playing! I dig! I'm assuming that is an upright bass? I like the mix very much. Good job!

That's a funny song, but well played Jady man.
Nice vibe to the whole thing.
Was this the Carol Channing featured in the Family Guy?

I'm not sure, it is actually carol though. She moved to Modesto a few years ago and does a bunch of local stuff. Weird chick but she's a sweetheart.

Well, she was on a family guy where she was ina celebrity boxing match with Mike Tyson. Everytime he beat her down, she got back up until he was so exhausted that he fainted which made her the winner. Brian lost a bet to Stewie and when Brian didn't pay up, Stewie took bloody revenge.

Awesome that you got a chance to record with her.
Nice going.

I thought so too, but it disturbed my wife greatly.

Ok, sorry to derail the initial reason for your thread.
