know you're ****
don't change strings
keep your hands safe
make sure you can taste some sort of meat (preferably from a larger animal) while you play.

if they sound good now.....they'll sound good tomorrow.

yeah nothing worse than having to worry about intonation/tuning problems in the middle of recording.

Haha you people are the best.
You know I'm gonna end up doing all of these things!

How do you guys like to go about it?
I myself am a vocals man I need to hear some sort of vocal to do well.

Any specific order or anything at all you like doing?
I sometimes dont understand how our drummer just sits down and drums out 8+ songs by himself

I agree 100% I like to be able to have my own mix of all that but the layering one by one thing takes all the life out of a song IMO. I like to be able to hear and see everybody if I can, certainly the drummer. I usually warm up a little bit before I go just to get my hands working, plan what I'm going to play and then forget it all relax and have fun. More than once I've come up with good stuff on the spot. Have fun man!
