I came across this today. Three Button Hand Me Down - the Faces (studio version)
After listening to the live version of this song for years, I finally came across the studio version and got a surprise when I heard the late great Mr Lane double tracked playing two different basslines! (BTW would love a tab for this...)
Any more "double bass" songs out there you can name?

There was a band in the late 80's called Ned's Atomic Dustbin, they had two bass players. Their first album was called God Fodder. |

| | | | as I just mentioned in another thread today, Ronald Shannon Jackson's Decoding Society had two bassists in a lot of its incarnations; my favorite is their debut album Eye On You which features Reverend Bruce Johnson and Melvin Gibbs on basses.
Peter Gabriel's "That Voice Again" from the So album features electric bass & Chapman Stick, both played by Tony Levin (not simultaneously; one is obviously an overdub) playing a line that is ~95% identical, but just different enough (and panned to opposite sides) to make it obvious that it's two basses.
Lots of Sting's bass parts on later Police albums (e.g., Ghost In The Machine and Synchronicity) were double-tracked with two different basses, but playing 100% identical parts and designed not to be perceived as a pair of instruments per se but just as a big thick bassline. |

| | | | Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty sounds like it has two basses in it, especially in the bridge sections - one low, one high, both P-basses.
Beatles - Think For Yourself - Paul played the bass line then overdubbed it with fuzz bass. |
