I happen to like it, though I see it as a slight departure for them. |

I dig it, reminds me of something Metallica could have written in a different world. Harmonized solos, "build up" riffing; I enjoy knowing that this band can write these types of songs. I love their normal sound, but it's cool to see someone step outside their box and not fall flat on their face.
Same thing goes for Dillinger Escape Plan. Now that I have delved into Dillinger Escape Plan, I realize what a departure songs like "Unretrofied" or "Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants" are for that band. | Agreed, these are two of my favorite bands right now. |

I'll tell you how the Sound of the Underground tour goes. (Opeth, Clutch, The Red Chord, High on Fire, GWAR, etc.) |

I had a pre-"real" college vacation planned for later in July, but it got bumped up two weeks when I heard about that tour. I going to order tickets right now while my mind is on it.
The funny thing is, my friend who is going with me doesn't enjoy extreme metal so I think he will be miserable until Clutch plays.
Never seen or heard GWAR, but I don't think that will dampen my enjoy of them. |

I saw GWAR two years ago in LA, the music was terrible , but the show was hilarious and fun as hell.

LA - Louisiana
LA - Lower Alabama (panhandle of Florida )
Just kidding, I read Matt Tills review of the GWAR show he saw and it sounded like a blast and a half. As long as you didn't have anywhere else to be that night. |
