Well, whether it is a previous post or perfectly pure, it is really good to see. My favorite drummer and I used to do this before we went out on the weekends 'back in the day'. We'd get together in the band room and toss a 'theme' onto the floor and jam on it. The results were exactly the same - and really not to far off, skill-wise.

The thing I love about seeing Chad and Flea do this is that it shows a really important aspect of being a perfoming musician - the ability to think on they fly and work whatever you have for what it is worth. You know they did not practice for this video - they walked in and winged it - which is so cool. Wouldn't it just suck if putting on your bass meant. "going to work". Come on... "Going to work" is going to work. Playing bass is pleasure. And playing with a drummer that you can really lock in with is paradise!
