Hi,
I love the bass tone on that album, its pretty similar on most tracks but i'm specifically refering to the second track 'Pattern Against User'. Its a lovely punchy growling tone-any ideas what gear he plays on this album? What sort of EQ settings would be best?
Sorry if this isn't the best forum for my question or if its been covered before
Thanks
Joe

He plays a Musicman Stingray, live he used a few different amps, I think he used a SWR head of some sort and a Ampeg SVT-4. So generally a hybrid amp.

Yeah, definitely a Stingray. And played with a pick. The amp definitely plays a part, but regardless of your rig you can get pretty close to that tone with those two ingredients.
