Bona can make a very strong argument for being the greatest bassist in the world.

Shame the poor guy will be known to most as Mr. Don't Worry Be Happy, such a great vocalist.

When musicians can improv like that and sound better than most on a planned recording, it's a sign of true talent.

Just incredible. Bobby McFerrin is one of the best vocalists, bassists, percussionists, everything... Using just his voice.

Yea that is definitely an amazing video. True masters at their respective instruments.

My brother said as a joke about Bona "What's he doing playing with that one hit wonder?".

Yeah, from what I understand Bobby's not too happy about that...but who would be?

The truth is, what the general public can "lalala" along with is never the most sophisticated thing...so it's always a mixed bag to have a hit song. Your "hit", by definition, is almost always bound to be your least sophisticated work.

It could be worse...it could have been something painful, like "Tears In Heaven", by Clapton. While I'm sure it was cathartic to write a song for his lost child, I can't fathom the pain of having to perform it over and over again.

Musicians don't have it easy...

Richard Bona is great and he is the father of my girlfriend - it's true! He really is a great player and one of, if not, the best in the world.

/cosign.

I love Bobby McFerrin too, I think the first time I really understood what a genius he was came while I was listening to a recording of him and Chick Corea playing Blue Bossa.

Are you sure it was Blue Bossa and not "Spain?" That particular tune he performed with Chick was great. Yeah he's a great vocalist - he is the instrument!
