| I've got all four of his albums (Scenes From My Life, Reverence, Munia: The Tale, and Tiki) and Reverence is far and away my favorite. Great somber tunes, and his African themed songs don't have the afro-pop sheen so much as his later efforts. Also features IMO his best bass playing and Gil Goldstein's masterful string arrangements. Not to mention Keith Jarrett, Vinnie Coliauta (sp?), Pat Metheny and Michael Brecker!!!!
Reverence rules...
SFML is good, not as fully developed as Reverence, Munia is quite good but not on par with Reverence IMO, and Tiki didn't push the bar for me at all in any sense... the collaborative artists drag the record down (especially the rap part - ugh), and there doesn't seem to be much progression or maturation overall... Heck, maybe I'm alone with this one tho.
