Richard Bona Plays Jaco

Don't know if it's been posted here before, but these are 2 incredible videos.
This has always been one of my favorite songs (by any artist). All 3 play beautifully.
Metheny is his usual self: Crazy, spastic movements and wild faces, but haunting tone and incredible playing. Sanchez on the drums is just about as solid as can be, with some very nice spicy touches of his own. And Richard Bona? Well, I think Jaco would be proud.

2 performances of Bright Size Life, same trio, different concerts.

edit:
While we're on the subject, here's Bona playing "Liberty City" (possibly my all-time favorite Jaco song) with a Big Band (including Jeff Carswell on bass...yeah, 2 basses). I don't think it's the Jaco Pastorius Big Band, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for posting - very nice. I've been listening to the original album over and over recently in the car on the way to and from work, paying really close attention to Jaco's playing and the interplay between all 3 musicians. According to Bill Milkowski's bio, and as related by Bob Moses, Metheny came very close to using Dave Holland when it came time to go into the studio and do that recording (probably my favorite playing of Jaco's). I think Bona shows genuine respect for the original interpretation while adding his own thing.
