Roland VB-99 looper delay experiment

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

last month i was experimenting with two sep. software programs (one for the audio and one video) in order to rec. some stuff.

It turned out to be a nice improvisation with my F-bass and the Roland VB-99.
‪Roland VB-99 demo. A small improv. by Harry den Hartog on a F-Bass BN6‬‏ - YouTube

Thanks for watching, hope you'll like it!

Thank you MrSnuts!
you're right about the 'clipping', next time i'll lower the output of my VB-99 perhaps that will solve this little issue, however i wasn't really seriously recording, it was just a test which turned out to sound good enough IMHO.

Anyway thanks for listening/watching and replying!

Cheers,
Harry.

Very nice!

Hi Hairman,

Very nice play, I've enjoyed it a lot

The loop effect is done with the VB-99? If yes, could you please explain how you did it?

I bought one recently and I'm playing with it, but I feel lost with all the potential this machine has.

Thank you Nefeli!!

The looper effect works best in combination with the FC-300 floor-controller, but i think it will work good with a standard midi floorboard as well.

You gotta use the delay (off course) set it to type: "Hold" (that's the last available type in the list of delays); now with the floor-controller you can assign one controller to the looper Rec function and one controller to the looper Stop function ... and there you go.

Mind you that the available looper time is only 10 secs (due to the used memory) ... so that's a possible limitation, but for simple looper FX it works ..... as you can see in my vid.

Have fun with experimenting!!!

Cheers,
Harry.
