Rolling Stone Magazine Top 100 Albums of the 2000s

As usual, I ask HUH? Most of these would certainly not be my picks. What do you think?

I own 6 on that list, but most I have not heard of.

OK - I own 2.
Too much damn ColdPlay - seriously?
I stopped thinking Rolling stone was a anything more than 'candy-journalism' back in the early to mid 80's.

Radiohead = overrated. I just don't get the appeal of that band. Boring, whiny, non-rocking blah.

I still think it was a mistake not to put the soundtrack for "Glitter" on that list....

I avoided Radiohead for a long time, because of the "trendiness" factor - you know, they were trendy so they couldn't be that great, I thought.

I finally caught up with them a few years ago, primarily through listening to "In Rainbows," and I was blown away by the depth of the music and the lyrics, and the beauty of the arrangements and sound layering. Live, they were just stunning, one of the best-sounding shows I'd ever seen (and because of my former profession, I've seen thousands).

Try them again, with headphones. For me, they're the pinnacle of whatever the "art rock" movement has come to mean. Nobody does what they're doing.

It's good except 87 and 88 should be reversed.
