I find it amazing that bands from the "classic rock" era - Rush, The Stones, etc. - can have 40+ years recording careers, yet it makes me wonder if today's bands, like Death Cab For Cutie or Muse for example, will also have 40 year recording careers. An amazing accomplishment nonetheless, and in my mind it cements Rush as the best post-Beatles band in rock music history.
