Hi All
I play in a rock covers band, our singer has a voice a bit like Giddy Lee. I love the cover of the Who song "The Seeker" Can you suggest some other popular Rush songs that are not to hard to work out.
Thanks

But make sure you're awesome. Nothing is worse than a bad Rush cover! |

Limelight's pretty easy though, and people will probably recognize that song. |

I'm not even going to get into technicality of these songs, because I am going to assume that everyone is compitent at their instrument...especailly if you are asking to do Rush songs.
My band covers YYZ...we get compliments all the time. |

Paul | Yea, no question, you need a drummer with super chops. |

Although I've seen a band turn that one into a complete train wreck, so... you've been warned |

One of their best too, and it gives your band a chance to go off on a big jam in the middle.

| | | | If you can do it without sucking horribly, do YYZ. I've seen too many band attempt to cover YYZ and make it obvious how much they don't pick up. There's a lot of fast notes. |

Not really, but just make sure you're a really awesome band and everyone's a sick player before you play Rush. Some of the songs may not sound complicated at first, but in those types of songs it's just the sound that is complicated and damn near impossible to recreate. |
