Please let me know what you think about my newly aquired rock sound.

I think it sounds pretty good on my earphones, but do feel free to crush my hopes, as being a jazz cat I dunno much about rock bass. Oh, and I know I always lag behind the beat, but that pick is a hard thing to maneuver
And while youīr at it, feel free to listen to the other songs on my site, and give me whatever feedback youīd like to!

Well, Iīm not a guy who gives up easily, so I provide another pick experiment for you guys (I know you want it):

nyplekter.mp3 - 2.17MB

This time I recorded a somehow funky groove with the pick, and tried to do some soloing over it....itīs so fun, feel like Iīm sixteen again and have just discovered something revolutionary....=

But as you can hear, itīs quite hard to control that little piece of plastic.

Doesn't sound very "rock" to me, but it sounds good for sure. Interesting little ditties, with some smooooth ass bass playing.

I agree that the song isnīt very rockish due to all the silly synths. But donīt you think the bass sounds rockish? At least modern rockish..... If not, then why?

the tone on Bossa Must Survive is very much my definition of a bass rock tone.

I like the other stuff on your MySpace page too, keep up the good work.

I suppose you're right, it's rock in the modern sense. When I think of rock though, I think of it in a more old school sense. I'm an old man, tonally... or "vintage" whatever you want to call it.

I like the silly synths, good stuff overall like I said, your stuff almost seems like stuff that should be submitted to a stock music agency. I'm not saying this in a negative sense, I hope you don't take it that way, but your music is very commercial friendly.

They are wonderful little ditties, but they (I feel) lack development, they don't seem to go anywhere, but they have a pop type of feel at the same time. And, the production is great, I could really picture you as a jingle writer/commercial music writer. Not to dis your artistic merits. Even your pornparody could logically be slid behind a porno and get the rhythm going

Thanks, Matt, I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment. I totally understand what you say about tone - guess I go more for the modern thang there.
As far as the musicality on the "bossa" song is concerned, the credit should really be given to the guys behind Apple Loops. I donīt have a keybord at the moment, so I just throw in some loops to fit my bass lines

Your words are certainly not offending. I am by all accounts a sellout when it comes to music, and I know it The only song there I guess I try to express something, is the flute song.

And Iīm still deeply dissapointed that no porn agency have contacted me about that song Check out the dedicated myspace site: www.myspace.com/pornprovider
