eastcoasteddie: I like the second one much better. It flows to me. I could actually not care less for the other one. Scary how a bass line makes or breaks it for me on this one. The spanking is too distracting to me for this kind of tune and the driving notes during verses I think is too busy. After a couple of listens, they both have some character though, still prefer the other one though I am going to say if the rest of the record is more agressive bass wise, slaps and pops all over, I would keep the first one in. Great tune! |

Personally what I would do is do the slapping only (no popping) intro, and perhaps bring it back at 2:54. The rest of the time use the bass from the second version.
