Scratchy recording - Felt Pick?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I'm currently recording some stuff with my band and am finding that as I use a pick, the sound can record quite "scratchy". I'm thinking of trying a felt pick. Has anyone tried this and will it help?

Also, check out my band if you'd be so kind -

you're probably scraping the strings with the side of the pick...try striking the string with the tip of the pick rather than the side...you will probably have to adjust your right hand technique, but done right it can give a beautiful tone.
