Of all the classic (REAL classic) rock and rollers, he's my favorite. Crazy voodoo scenery, raucous tunes, great sense of humor and what a voice!!
If you don't know him YOU SHOULD!!! And if you do, show your solidarity!
Supposedly he was an incredible showman, I've spoken with people who saw him when he played around France before he died, they said it didn't seem like he had aged a year.
Other claims to fame: The song "I put a spell on you" and fathering something like 56 kids.
