I'm white as they come but ill get into some G-funk like snoop and some old school hip hop like quest, pharcyde, and Jurassic 5. I don't think the old school hip hop is anything to be ashamed of, but the G-funk does turn heads when I'm cruising in the rougher parts of Auckland.

Yes, I loved his comedy style since I was a child. But I got the chance to see his live show years back. I got the comedy I was expecting. Plus, I was treated to top-notch musicianship both from him and his band mates. Not to mention split-second costume changes on Al's part between a few key songs. I thoroughly enjoyed that concert.

In addition to their sketches/movies, they also had a few catchy songs. I also liked their comedy albums. I keep a bunch on my iPhone & they bring a smile whenever one of those tracks pop up.

And I always remember that Bass Player interview with Stanley Clarke, in some capacity (he wasn't on the cover iirc...) and Barry Manilow came up, complaining to Clarke that no one took him seriously. Stanley teased him, "But Barry, you wrote Mandy!" After that, according to Clarke, Manilow then ripped into a searing uptempo solo rendition of "Giant Steps" on the piano.

She's the type of woman you marry and stay with the rest of your life. I always thought that Alanis being casted as God in Dogma was pretty fitting.
As far as embarassing musical selections, I really liked Justin Bieber's Girlfriend when it came out. I was struck at what a mature sounding song it was - it almost had a Justin Timberlake sound to it. I also like Party Rock by LMFAO and Don't Trust Me by 3oh!3. I guess that regardless of musical genre, I'm a sucker for a good hook.
With that said, I am a pretty big Katy Perry fan, but I'm not really ashamed to admit that. I also had a Lady Gaga shirt with her on stage in lingerie flipping the bird that I used to wear on gigs until it got dingy around the neck and I couldn't get it white anymore.

1) An Opeth album.
2) A Bangles album.
No one in my family could understand it. |

| | | | You guys do know, do you not, that the great Joe Osborn played bass for the Carpenters and the Mamas and the Papas? Carol Kaye played on Monkees records, I think. And there's nothing not to like about the Bangles! Micki Steele rocked. |
