See If I Care, by Gary Allen. My first video

Not a good quality video, but its my first, shot with a tiny camera (not so great a lens). The bass doesn't start until :34 seconds in.

The song is a Gary Allen country ballad, called "See If I Care." Kind of unusual bassline, with some slides and upper fret work. Its not note for note, but my interpretation. Opinions welcome. Almost afraid to ask.

You'll never go wrong stealing from Michael Rhodes.

Lord knows I have.

Hmmm....

I guess I need to study up on me bassists. I didn't know who Michael Rhodes was, but I looked him up just now. He's considered to be one of the top 3 bassists in Nashville, and of course, is much recorded.

I've been playing 2 years this month. Guitar for many years before I took up the bass. I seldom touch a guitar nowadays.

69 hits, no comment. Yeah, I made a couple mistakes, but does it suck that bad?

It doesn't suck. It seems like you played it well. But the audio quality of that recording isn't too good, so it's hard to hear the bass.

Thank you. You're right, the audio quality isn't great. Cheap camera, but its all we have at the moment.

Hey,

Very nice. You seem to enjoy playing along to the track.
I agree with the other post it is kind of hard to hear the bass line due to poor video/audio sync.

good work.

Hey, Busker. Nice work. Turn the volume on your bass up! Way up! Even with a bad camera, that will help. Seriously, please redo it with more volume on your bass - the song needs it and I would really like to be able to hear what you're doing (I can barely hear it, some of what I'm "hearing" is really me just watching your fingers and filling in what I think you're playing). Be great to be able to hear your tone.

But from what I can hear, you did a fine cover.
