i have a tolerance for mudvayne and a lot of respect for mr martinie. i have no idea where to start. there dont seem to be any guitar hero/rock band track isolations floating around.

on what tracks, or maybe even what parts of certain tracks does he shine the most? and which album makes him the most audible. i have a hard time picking him out a mix between the typical bass burying in metal and his not so mid prevalent tone.

thanks

I guess you will do fine if you pick up the LD50 album. I started with that when it came out, without knowing who Martinie was. But since then, I fell in love with his playing and sound and tried to put some of that stuff into my own playing.
The later albums are alright too, his playing also, but IMO LD50 is technically more versatile and more interesting for bass.

Anything on LD 50. It was pretty sad they went away from that style b/c they absolutely killed with it.
Hard to pick out one song off that record though. Under My Skin is good, as well as Nothing To Gein. Shows different things he's capable of.
