So last night I'm sitting on my porch reading A Clockwork Orange right. Its about 90 degrees out here in MS. No fan or air or anything out on the porch. I'm down to my draws and sweating like a hog.I've got Sunn O))) playing on the Ipod. Perfect. I was a wee pit stoned tooo...........But anyways, It was like being in a swirling room of dark, damp color and hearing the story read to me in the evil voice that comes in my dreams. Totally kick ass.

Anyone else ever have an experience like that, where the music totally fit your enviroment?

The first time I listened to Black 1 by Sunn 0))), I was at work, clean and sober... well, the clean is a maybe. But it made me feel like everyone wanted to kill me, and I was running down a dark tunnel.

The second or third time I listened to Dillinger Escape Plan's Calculating Infinity, I was standing in the middle of a downpour, where people were running from the rain. It was heavy heavy rain, and people didn't want to get wet, but the way they were acting, they were running from acid rain or something. The perfect soundtrack.

Ulver - Perdition City and the Silence EPs

Driving around at night in a big city during rain. Perfect.

I always find Jimi Hendrix goes good on a rainy day, especially in the car.
