I dig the solo, and love the tone. In the overall mix on that song, I think you are pretty buried, however. On Dark Weave, I think the mix with you is better, IMO.

I once heard a story about a band (I think it was Foo Fighters IIRC) who spent months and months on recording an album until everything was played perfectly, but when they had finished they found that the album had no 'soul' or something like that. So they deleted the tracks, recorded the album again in a week and released that.

The lesson, no recording is ever likely to be perfect and if it is, you probably wont like it.

It has 'character'. If I have to choose, I'd always rather listen to music with character over music that's perfect executions of technique.

Keep the solo exactly as it is. Cool vibe to it, highlight of the song, IMHO.

The solo was good, fit the song, and had a really nice tone. Only YOU notice any minor errors, so don't worry about it.

Also, as mentioned above, you have to draw the line somewhere or you can never finish anything.

I would leave it. Parts like that you could push a bit more, just to keep momentum up, but it's cool.

It sounds great! Nice job. You're fans will be playing air-bass while they listen.

Cool

I wouldn't change it.

I agree with other posters that the mix might be a bit muddied and that the 2nd song mix is better.

I don't see anything wrong with the solo. I think the issue is, like Chris2112 said, the lead up to it is kind of weak.

But the solo itself sounds good. Even, dare I say, BITCHIN'
