Should this song go on our upcoming recording?

It's barely on the list right now, I'm looking to see if it can hold it's own against some of our other songs.

Thanks for any feedback.

I liked it, though it's a little symbal heavy.

Thanks for replying, I think the video camera makes the symbols sound a little harsh.

Any more comments? I think this one will make it on the recording but it's kicking of a song that's really good, I hate these decisions.

Ahem...cymbals

No lyrics/vocals? I'd say no. Your average person out there is going to skip over it because of this (of course IMHO). Most of the folks out there are going to want something that they know the words to and can sing along with - not something they can air guitar to. Now this is your average person/fan not musicians. Again, IMHO, YMMV, etc., etc...

On the personal side, I didn't care for it myself (no offense intended, just not my cup of tea).

I thought it was fun and pretty cool, but again no vocals kinda kills both songs IMHO.

We don't do vocals, we can't sing at all. We had a singer for a short time but it didn't work out. We play tons of shows and people beg us for a recording so I'd say the formula is working so far.

I dug it and watched it with envy how you got a great sound out of that tele bass where mine always sounds like mud.

I'd say layer some vocals on and if it's style of your other songs, I can't see why it wouldn't be worthy...

Yeah - Mud Haha, That's why I routed it for the Jazz pickup by the bridge, the humbucker isn't on at all. And that's a direct line out, the amp was provided for us and I was just trying to hear myself onstage. It's a squier also. I use a jazz bass now.

Cool, that's what music is all about - there's more than one way to skin a cat. If y'all have it down where people are showing up at gigs and asking for more, then roll with it!
