Okay, So I always hear about Ampegs "muddy" tones, and that being their signanture tone kind of (
).
But I'm confused, the ampegs I've played on have been very clear and crisp. So could some people please post sound clips of "mud".
Much appreciated.

Gibson was the first thing that came to mind when someone said "mud".

It's a great tone for some uses. It makes a band sound huge and thick, especially power trios. I resort to something similar pretty often.
Nobody cares about a good sounding bass. What people want is a good sounding band.

I guess it would sit in the mix well, but still.
