Boy i'm rusty! sorry for all the fretting, trying to get back in shape after a long time of not touching a bass...

Some Chords & Scales

A song with a salsa bit

I have no idea why it recorded the bass on one side and the drums on the other, any ideas? I'm using on of those 2 channels mixers direct to Windows Movie Maker. The noise comes from the thingy I'm using as a drum machine.

Since it's "You on Youtube" and not "you and your bass" or "you and your band" or "you or music", here's me doing something non-musical - reading a children's story about why dogs chase cars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_esXldMvz1w

I'm probably better at this than I am at music, LOL.

And here's a little PC video our drummer made for a cover of Steely Dan's Haitian Divorce we recorded in his studio. Again I'm playing my '79 'Ray.

High, dudes! Cheers from Russia! Check my three bands this autumn... Clarence Boddicker (Rus.) is an older one, Roswell Surgery and KHARMS just started giging this autumn. Doubt seriously that many of you dig such music... Whatever...

My band attempting to play a brand new song with a brand new drummer, a guitar player that used to be the drummer and just switched for this show, and a harmony singer just sitting in for the night. Given all that, I think we pulled it off without a major train wreck!

Me on bass (6-string, picked)

Our song called "Not a Word for the Way You Left Me." It's kinda like progressive hard rock.

Hope you like it!

Another "playalong" from me:

Roll over Beethoven

I created a balanced mix, as it sounds much more realistic (to my ears). There are so many instruments involved, which should also stay audible in the mix. I had te revise my efficiency to get it nailed. So, in a way it has contributed to my technique. There was no bass tab available, so I eared it and made the best of it...

My old Meat Loaf tribute band playing Paradise by the Dashboard Light with the original singer from the Bat Out of Hell album, Ellen Foley. This was a Halloween night concert, so we were dressed up (I'm kevin federline, playing bass). Loved that Ellen got up to join us!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s53V9bpZ-A0

and yes, we were called Anything For Loaf. Good times...

Here are my band's two music videos. They're directed, edited, and in the case of the second, animated, by our singer.

It's not me on bass, but I love our bass player's parts on both. -
