Starting to really get into ska, and the hybrid ska/punk. Matt freeman from rancid is a great player, he knows how to compliment ska styled songs very well. Any other bands similar to rancid so I can hear some more riffs like matt?

I don't see how people can call Rancid ska/punk, aside from a few songs on 'Life Won't Wait' and '...And out come the Wolves', their songs are pretty straight-forward bay/UK-influenced punk.

Anyway, Leftover Crack and Choking Victim (basically the same band) are similar to Rancid, not as flashy playing. Also, Operation IVY is Matt and Tim's old band, he hasn't reached the level he is in Rancid but I personally like his playing better.

The Chinkees are fun as well.
