Thanks for the kind feedback.

I bought the bass on St. Patrick’s Day, 1971 from a kid who had tried to burn the sunburst finish off with a blowtorch. I think that he was trying to “age” it. The vise grip marks are still visible. I routed the humbucker into it after hearing Mountain, wanting that Bruce/Pappilardi overdrive sound. It never delivered the sound I wanted and rarely use it. I don’t use it on any of my Youtube posts. I refinished the bass in the 80s… like a fool… because the swanky restaurant I was playing in for 5 years complained about its look. It didn’t mesh with my tux.

I’ll be posting a new ditty this weekend in honor of Groundhog Day.
