Slap plate samples

Sign in to disble this ad
Greetings everyone, I was wondering if any of you happen to know where I can find some sound samples of someone slapping away at their fretless bass with a slap plate. I've searched all over google and youtube for samples but to no prevail. Better yet, if any of you happen to have a fretless with a slap plate, could you submit a clip or two? I have a sneaking suspicion that the tone you generally get from a slap plate would differ than a fret not only for the fact you would typically have flat or half wounds compared to rounds (on a fretted bass), but also the construction of the slap plate itself. Being thinner, wider, more contact area with the board, etc.
If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!
