Sleep Terror with bass

Sign in to disble this ad
As far as I know, Sleep Terror doesn`t have any bass whatsoever . So I found this powertab lying around on the net and thought I might give it a humble shot. Im pretty new to this recording stuff regarding cut/paste and pro tooling, so there`s bound to be some off stuff here and there. Learned it and recorded it within two hours, so bear with me.

Awesome bass playing, I wish I could play like that.

How do you get the bass to stand out during double bass/blastbeat and palm-muted guitar riffs when the music gets really heavy?

lots of treble, turned off all the bass eq on my bass ( warwick fna jazzman) ,and just play with the most brutal attack you`re good for and you`re there.

Thumbs up

You are a great player, Erlend. I'm really impressed with the quality of your performances. Congrats, man!

i dont practice regularly at all. i use 4 finger plucking, starting with the pinky, for sweeping and raking back up. when it comes to regular picking i tend to switch between 2-3-4 fingers, depending on the riff and the amount of string skipping.

But are there any particular scales or patterens you used to play when you developed that kind of playing. I guess it really import to start at a really slow tempo like 50bmp, right?
