Smashing pumpkins bass tones?

I've been listening to a lot of smashing pumpkins lately and always see pics and videos of D'Arcy playing jazz bases. A recent post here made note of the p bass tone on recordings. Does anyone know the specific basses used on the Adore album specifically...also Mellon collie, Gish, and Siamese dream?

Every time I've seen Corgan playing bass it was a P.

I can get really close to their first 2 albums with my P/J bass with rounds or bright flats on it. P pickup with a pick for the more bright tones, both pickups in series with my fingers for the darker ones.

Excellent...thanks guys! MCATIS definitely have some great tracks. The tone on Ava adore from the adore album is also fantastic...my opinion.
