he doesn't slap f,ffc... on the video, he is slapping at the most inopportune times.. he is just being goofy on the video.. half the time he isn't even playing the right notes... or fretting them anyway.. I saw them live on MTv and the only time he slapped was on the chorus... the song it self it relatively easy.. but its a cool catchy song... I don't know if it is up to Micheal Jackson status.. but then again what is

um... if you think thats the chorus, hate to break it to you... but thats not right...

The chorus (which is slaped live, and not so sure on the album, but i'm pretty sure) goes

F E F F(octive) then repeat that 3x, then hit a g,
s s h p (S=slap, H=hammeron p= pop)
then go back to that F E FF riff. The interlude in the chorus though (A-G-F-E-F-A) progression is fingersyle though. And the verse riff, or the main riff, is fingerstlye.

(all of this information gathered while being 10 ft. away at a concert.)

For those of you interested, he slaped the verse riff to "movie", and fingerstlye for every other part, while preforming it live.

I heard/saw it for the first time yesterday. Damn posers. But they're pretty damn tight, and it was fun!

i personally like the michael jackson version better. alien ant farm is WAY overplayed on the radio, and i'm just tired of the song (for now at least). however, its gotten a few people i know to listen to music that they would not normally listen to.
its got a good groove, and that counts for a lot...

ah, but the music you listen to is timeless, as opposed to a meek, easily-forgotten cover of a Michael Jackson classic

You don't know the half of it. I rely on things like this, like the fact that Santa Claus exists. When someone alleged that the easter bunny was not responsible for the chocolate eggs in my house I cried for a week. And I once bet my house on the fact that the tooth fairy existed. How else can you explain the money under my pillow? Alien Ant Farm are an integral part of this "little world", and indeed it would be destroyed if you were talking about them.

Oh yeah I was serious. Its up to you what you think of Smooth Criminal, I personally think it is OK, not as good as Micheal Jacksons rendition. But then again I do like S Club 7...................

Also, my father is a tall man. He shares his time between a box in our garden and a milk float he stole from the milkman last week.

well, for whoever's little world they exist in, the song is killer... I hear it and I can't get it out of my head. I picked up the album this weekend, and it's really cool!

Is it just me, or does anyone else just want to slap that bass player?
I've seen the video a few times and while he may be a really nice person, he just irritates me to watch...But like a bad car accident, you just have to keep looking!

This is what I think:

1. Movies is a better song
2. AAF will be a one hit wonder band
