So my band recorded some new songs. Care to listen?

So we recorded some songs, and I agreed to a split that I would mix three and another person in the band would mix three. I didn't finish as my computer crashed, but I do have the first one that he finished, and thought I'd post it just for some giggles.

interesting tune, but you gotta tighten up that bass drum. it also sounds kind of clogged in the upper register (clarinety sound & guitar are occupying the same space at times and are both kind of busy...so the sound is rather saturated).

not sure if this is just a recording for fun or for eventual release, but overall the most important thing to getting a great recording is getting a great performance from all the musicians and there are some sloppy performances at times. but that's just my ears...and what do i know?

if you are into recording/engineering, you should check out www.tapeop.com if you haven't already. i've learned so much from that magazine.

nice, the middle of the first tune sounds like kashmir of Led Zep, nice need a lil bit more punch in the drum department
