It's not his best, not his worst, but it is solid.

What I love with Mustaine is that he's still pissed off and that's cool with me, because he's been pretty consistent in his production.

James LoMenzo sounds pretty good. I read interviews in which he said he had to learn pick playing because Mustaine would not accept him to finger play, at least not the old songs.

why does Mustaine always have a new line up?

I case you missed it, he is the biggest jackass of heavy metal.

Now you see why they kicked him out of Metallica.

it didn't sound like anything new at all. Just kind of a repeat of old ideas he's been recycling for the past 15 years.

I think his huge ego has shut the door on his music for me. I liked up to Rust in Peace, then lost interest.

The new album is pretty cool, I'm just giving it a first spin right now. James Lomenzo is a great player, but I find his sound just doesn't cut through like Dave Ellefson. I love the bass sound on Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction.

Chris Broderick is an amazing guitar player, I haven't heard much of him until now.

Endgame is Megadeth's best since Countdown to Extinction.

Did he mention, why Mustaine insisted on him playing with a pick?

I'm a huge Megadeth fan - I'll have to check it out.

I still love "So far - So good - So what" best along with "Peace Sells", "Rust in Peace", and "Countdown to Extinction"

Rust In Peace is my favorite album, and then So Far So Good So What....After that it's basically the Dave Mustaine solo project (maybe it was before that?). Still amazed Vinne Colliuta played on an album.

"Black Friday" was my favorite song for about 3 years back in the mid 80's. I couldn't stop playing that song, rewinding it, and playing it again until the tape finally gave up the ghost. Then along came CD's, and Nirvana.

I loved "Countdown to Extinction" BEFORE Mustaine decided it needed to be re-mastered. Now it sounds like it's been tracked with a drum-machine and CUBASE-bass (no pun intended)...

I miss Dave Ellefson!

his rotating cast of lead guitarists is a real put off. granted, they are all better than kirk hammett by a long shot, but i miss friedman and poland.

once you've fired your entire band 2 or 3 times over.. im pretty turned off to what you do. i do admire his persistence. he couldnt move his left hand and he STILL kept going.

i havent listened to one of his albums since countdown to extinction.

There is a 2 part interview with Mustaine over at infowars yotube channel where he talks to Alex Jones about New World Order and the new album.

Awesome if you enjoy conspiracy theories and Megadeth.

It stayed with Megadeth through the mid 90's but they lost me after Marty left and then Dave. Just sounds like generic thrash metal to me now. The melodic guitar work was a trademark and it's just not there anymore.

As an aside, saw Megadeth twice. Once at the 9:30 club in DC around 95/96 with the Misfits (awesome show with Dave and Marty) and once in Buffalo at some sort of festival around 05. The festival show featured the worst sound I have ever heard in my life. I know the Megadeth catalog pretty damn well and I couldn't figure out what they were playing half the time! We left after about 3 songs.

Megadeth is my favorite band of all time. Funny thing how they release their most critical acclaimed album in quite some time and Im not so hot on it. I dont think its bad but there is something with it that doesnt quite grab me.

I really dont like their current drummer. He is very boring. Maybe solid at keeping a beat but he isnt very innovative and I think his creativity is seriously lacking. Unfortunate

Good album but not near my list of favorite Megadeth albums.
