So, there's a "Recordings" forum... how bout a "Recording" forum?!

Seems the Recordings forum covers recordings, both classic and obscure, and the Recording Gear forum covers gear....

I feel the need for a Recording forum that discusses recording theory, technique, practice, history, etc

You should also check out a forum called "Gearslutz". They are a very TB-like forum dedicated to everything about recording music.

+1

I am not exactly new to the forum. But I have went to talk about my favorite recordings in general and found projects people were currently working on. Not like I wouldn't want to see that kind of thing. But I just thought more special attention could be brought to it in a section all to itself.

I could be wrong. I just thought I would throw in my 2 cents if it helped the cause.

seriously though, been on GS for a minute. i just like this forum better and don't want to have to tab between all the time. plus, I have the dangerous TB app on my phone now, which means I can browse on those long bus rides.

actual info on TB about recording technique seems to be the most scattered category of anything on here, appearing in both Recordings and Recording Gear
