The definitive "Bass Only" list for me would be (not in any particular order):

Michael Manring - Thonk, Soliloquy
Seth Horan - Conduit
Trip Wamsley - Curve
Victor Wooten - Show of Hands
Jeff Schmidt - Outre

i'v got one album by manring (the names escapes me at the minute, the cover is sort of wishy washy grey) and i was really unimpressed by it. i thought i was uninspiring and dull. its sort of put me off him but as its the only thing i've heard by him i'm willing to give him another chance, but he'll be at the bottom of my list.

i'll order horn, wooten and schmidt when i get paid!

Another vote for VW's "A Show Of Hands". The whole album is fantastic, but I must say that to me, "More Love" is one of the most beautiful compositions ever made for the bass guitar.

And another not-to-be-missed: Stu Hamm's "Radio Free Albemuth".
Actually, all of Stu's solo albums are great but RFA is my favorite, closely followed by "Kings Of Sleep".

Everytime i go to get that album out from the library, its always out is this album worth buying? Coz i really wanna get some Victor Wooten stuff, but not sure what to get :s plus i'm not the biggest fan, but feel if i gave him/his band a chance i wud prolly dig it eventually. Sorry this is slightly off topic lol
