Hey guys, this is my first shot at a "solo" bass recording, solo meaning everything on the track was recorded using my Modulus Quantum 5. It's also my first shot at recording a bass "solo" (starts about 1:30 in).

Let me know what you think!

Sounds great, really great for a first try. Did you loop this "live" while recording or did you manually layer the tracks?

I manually layered the tracks. I've been thinking about getting a loop pedal a lot lately though.

Sounds good and tight. What bass are you using for the groove?

Yeah man, I just got mine a little while back as well. 1991 Q5 with Lane Poor pickups, walnut top and purple heart stripe. Funny enough, I'd say this bass has a more "natural" tone than my Warwick Thumb did...so much for the sound of wood I guess.

You know you did something good when I plug in my practice amp into my computer so I can get more sound. Normally I go through computer speakers but if I'm watching Family Guy or something, amp comes on. +1 to you good sir.

Pretty cool. My favorite part is the 'bass line,' really great tone.

Great song. I really like the warmth of the bass tone.
