solo bass pieces

hey guys, sorry for the shameless plug but I've just stuck a couple of bass solo videos up on youtube. One of them is an arrangement of an elvis costello tune, and the other I wrote myself, please take a look and let me know what you think. If you like then there are more to come : )

Hey these, are pretty cool man.
I suck at harmonic pinches so I'm jealous.

when you say harmonic pinches do you mean false harmonics? I think all the ones i was using in those vids are natural. Next time i'm planning to maybe mic up my amp so I can get a nicer harmonic tone, but to be totally honest my sound card sucks ass and it's so noisy so i don't think there's too much point in striving for tone perfection haha

Yeah, see, I don't even know what they're called. xD
False harmonics then. They add such a nice touch.
Just like in Avashai Cohen's bass solos. (And many, many other artist's works.)

thankyou! i do pride myself on my bass face. And RyanJD - I love avishai cohen, and take great influence from him for my compositions. The tune raindrop that's up on my youtube was actually written for a full band, and it sounds avishai-esque (i'd like to think at least haha). There'll be a full band recording up there soon, had an all night studio session a few days ago with one of my bands and that was tunes we managed to get down.
