Why? I thought that this was the point of this forum... This is my band, and I've got a good bass player...

What's the bass and signal chain you used?

The bass is an ESP LTD C-304 with two MM style pickups, running straight into the board. And it's not me playing, I'm just the singer. I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be glad to have quit playing, but this guy makes it easy.

Dude, you aren't 'just the singer'... job well done! I dig your voice. melodies seem well composed too.

I seriously feel like I'm "just the singer." I'm trained as an instrumentalist. I'm a professional french horn player, free-lancing in the Louisville, KY/Cincinnati, OH area, having played with the Cincinnati Symphony and Louisville Orchestra. Therefore, I really respect and understand the instrumental aspect of what we're doing. I also used to be the bass player for our group, so I'm particularly sensitive to the bass parts (I didn't write the ones you hear, I couldn't play that stuff in a million years). Singing isn't something that I've really spent those thousands of hours in a practice room for, honing my skills. It's just something that I kind of do, and I happen to have the best voice out of the five guys in the group (not saying much ). I guess it helps that I write the lyrics, too. Anyway, that's why I feel like I'm just the singer. The guys playing have earned their chops. I haven't yet.

First off, thanks for the compliments on the vocals. I'm that typical insecure vocalist, I guess, but I think it has more to do with the fact that I'm not as trained vocally as I am instrumentally. Anyway...thanks for the compliments all around. I'll pass them on to the fellas. If you really liked it, tell a friend. Thanks, all.
