| Some James Taylor/Jimmy Johnson demos

James Taylor has always been on of my favorites. His sound always belies his inner demons and the musicians he has chosen to collaborate with are the best. His bass players, including Paul McCartney (!), Leland Sklar, and yes, Jimmy Johnson are among my heroes.
I have selected several tunes from “James Taylor Live” (1993) to demo some of Jimmy Johnson’s approach. As I’ve said before, I recognize and admire his signature, but I don’t try to forge it. That would serve no purpose.
Grab some headphones and follow the link below for these tunes. There are more to follow this week.
