Some New Stuff From My Band...

Sign in to disble this ad
Evening all,

Just thought I'd share a video and a new recording that I've gathered from my the past days of rehersing with my band. Our guitarist decided to bugger off to Sheffield for a few days, reducing us to a trio but we've still managed to make some progress.

This is our cover of Motown's Money (That's What I Want) - mixing the Beatles and Flying Lizards versions with me playing the spoons too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUa0RHAmztk. My vocals are shouted because I had no microphone

And on our MySpace we've got a new demo of a new song up, called Late Night Arrival. It's not a great recording as the drums tend to dominate and you can't hear much synth or bass. It's also very rough as we didn't have time to polish it much today. See it at www.myspace.com/thegatefold

Three gigs this weekend, more practising will ensue tomorrow! Now question is whether to take the Rickenbacker or the lovely Daryl Jones seen in the video....

All thoughts are welcome, as well as advice too. As I said, our guitarist is missing so there's a whole layer of sound gone too. Check out the other videos and recordings toon on the MySpace page!

Seb
