Song Feedback Please.

Ok, on Saturday the 15th we recorded for the very first time. Everything went well until the vocals came up. We have two singers a screamer then one that sings softer. Well they were going to sing together the entire song and that just didnt work, so our softer singer sang the entire song for the first time ever by himself, and the screamer screamed his parts which honestly sounded great, they both, did neither one of them was just use to the changeup. But, we did a cover of Jason Derulo's "In My Head" but it was a bit heavier. We did it in a metalcore sense. Below is a link. Any feedback is appreciated, good or bad, we want to hear it.

i am being 100% open and honest here..im not trying to be a dick..just trying to help.....if all the guitars are in perfect tune with each other... then someones playing some off notes. overall the guitars/drums didnt sound terrible, besides the off notes i mentioned...the vox are where you guys are having the most problems..the singer was rarely if ever in pitch w the song..even the soft overdubs were off from each other..obviously with enough practice the instruments could get tighter..but for a singer to record a complete song like this and not even realise( or care) that his vox were that far off is a bad thing..there are some other reasons this can happen. if the singer simply cant hear himself while performing a song then you have no point of reference and the vox will suffer..even the best singers out there sound tone deaf the second their monitor turns off during a song. next time try and make sure the singer can clearly hear himself and the rest of the band when hes recording his parts. it helps me to have 1 ear in the headphones and 1 ear off so i can hear myself a bit more than the backing track. the recording quality wasnt great but you made what u had work..i do a ton of home recording w less than stellar gear most of the time so if you have any questions i might be able to help out. i can point out some good books on the subject. i know thats prob not what u wanted to hear but i hope it helps. -joep

yeah, I'm sorry but this is pretty much right. There are a LOT of just plain wrong notes happening in that recording.

Agreed, this is a pretty weak recording. Like the other previous poster said, I'm not trying to be an a$$ but it sounds like you guys need to spend some significant time in the woodshed to get some of the vocal and guitar issues fixed.
