I've been playing around with a halfway decent multi-track program I have, working on a song idea that's been in my head for a while. I consider myself primarily a supporting player, and this bassline is meant to back up a guitarist or two (I know what I want that to sound like, but I don't play guitar well enough to make it happen.)
Anyway, I cobbled together this drum track out of individual samples I had laying around. It's not exactly what I would hope it ends up sounding like, but at least it was more fun to play to than a metronome.
Recording-wise, I know it has its flaws - the bass level is too high and the drum parts probably need to be a little more even level wise.
I guess I'm just looking for knee-jerk reactions to the general idea.
This was my ATK 300 recorded direct into my computer with both coils selected and the EQ flat.
Comments anyone?

Ah heck, 1:15 a.m. isn't so bad (see my reply to KeithBMI below), here's another version with the recording level turned down so it doesn't distort as much. I think I like a little distortion on this track.
