I'm doing a song for a technology project being done in the area where bands will be able to launch music based on location (so a band could, for instance, release an album only in their hometown and you would have to be there to listen/buy). As a promo I'm doing the song for my city.
I made the stupid decision to record this on a heavy-stringed steel acoustic instead of a classical so there are a lot of errors. However, I've done a rough and I can commit to studio time to record it for about $100. If it doesn't come out good, though, I won't have money for another and the project deadline is the 22nd. Would you guys critique the song itself? I like it but I feel that it lacks a traditional song form and I don't know if that will hurt me.
