Here are a few of my favorites:

Everything is Everything: Donny Hathaway Live/ Willie Weeks on bass

School Days: Stanley Clarke/ Stanley on bass
Desert Song on the same album

Stomp: the Brothers Johnson/ Louis Johnson on bass

There are hundreds of great ones, but without checking my collection, these came to mind as some of my favorites.

Got to be "Mr. Big" by FREE. One of the first, and still one of the best. Always got a hell of a cheer whenever I played it.

The first two I ever learned as a younger lad:

Powerslave - Iron Maiden (Steve Harris)

Stranger in a Strange Land - Iron Maiden (Steve Harris)

Pretty rippin solos in both IMO. Up the Irons!

There's a bass solo in Powerslave?

It's already been mentioned, but Orion is probably my favourite bass solo.

There's a cool (but very short) solo in 'Take No Prisoners' by Megadeth.

Of course there's 'YYZ' by Rush.

On the death metal side of things, there is 'Images' by Sadus, and 'The Philosopher' by Death. Steve DiGiorgio plays fretless for both. Very fast and technical stuff.

Finally, there's a really good solo in the song 'Sea of Lies' by Symphony X. There's a cool bass intro as well.
