I just heard the ol 80s song "Sad Eyes" in the car. Super simple bass line, but awesome in my opinion - and I don't think the song would have been a hit without it. I thought it might be a good idea to see what songs ya'll can come up with who's bass lines are a HUGE hook in the song - songs that may not have been succesfull without them.

I imagine that if that had a bassline (which it actually did, but Prince took it out during mixing), it wouldn't have been as big as it was.
