I Just got a five string and I need some song idea's to get used to working it into my playing, anyone got suggestions?
Also; does anyone know what I should set my EQ to for My Name is Mud? I can't seem the get the right sound... (the intro/chorus, not the verse) |

What I'd work on is trying to play songs you know in one position. Say you want to play a song in 5th position. Well then you can't grab you're "low g" WRONG- get it with the 8th fret on you B string. It's about the economy of motion- move as little as possible. (unless you want a certain amount of undertones- matt rubin i think from Taking back sunday does a really good job with this).
