Did you ever notice that certain songs, that are sequential on an album, go so well together that you can't listen to one without the other?
Examples, pardon the early '90s emphasis -
- "Them Bones" and "Dam That River" on Alice in Chains' "Dirt"
- "Cherub Rock" and "Quiet" on Smashing Pumpkins' "Siamese Dream"
- "Breakerfall" and "God's Dice" on Pearl Jam's "Binaural"
- Anything on "Dark Side of the Moon" without the rest of it
What are yours? |

(LOL - old skool vinyl listener here, who says "first side" anymore!)

Joan Crawford and Don't Turn Your Back - Blue Oyster Cult (well, I could listen to the latter all day on its own, but if I hear the first I MUST hear the second)
Where the Streets Have No Name, Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and With Or Without You - U2 |

Actually the whole damn "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" album
My Bloody Valentine: Sometimes-> Blown a Wish
Sigur Ros- Pretty much all of ( ). I can't stop it once I get it going.
Interpol: NYC-> PDA
Oh, and I also skip "Quiet" if I can when I listen to Siamese Dream. Now Silver**** and Luna? I have to listen to those back to back.

I actually scuttled Silverf*k, I dom't have the HDD space available for all that space in the middle. |

The Marts Volta also split up a couple songs like this on Frances the Mute.

Similar is "Drown" from the Singles soundtrack- the first four minutes are as good as any other Pumpkins song I could name, but I can do without all the feedback and vamping after that point. |
