Thought it might be fun to get this out. Me, I'm 38 with 3 young girls, and 20 years ago was listening to The Pixies, Jane's Addiction, Rush, you know, REAL music! Now, I'm in the car with Hannah Montana and Ashley Tisdale and the Jonas Brothers. I'm scared to admit, it's starting to wear on me at times, and I find myself digging a very small number of the tunes.
I'll go first...
I really dig the Jonas Brothers song Year 3000. Oh, and most of the first High School Musical numbers; that Neville brother did a bang up job on those tunes.
You? |

I am pretty embarresed that I have a soft spot for Enya, Kiss and Avril Lavigne

For those of you who haven't heard of them.. They're like a Swedish version of Devo on PCP. Fantastic.

I guess I'm not really all that embarrassed, more amused that people are so polarized at times(myself occasionally included )by musical tastes(or lack thereof ).

IIRC Parker would head to a particular bar after hours that had a juke box and he kept playing country/westerb songs. Some of the jazz cats that would gather there to pay hommage demanded to know why he was playing such stuff and Parker said, 'Listen to the stories.' |

Yeah, I know it's really a Twisted Sister song, but it's fun and puts my kids in a good mood on the way to school. SpongeBob is quite the performer.
Anything 'Jonas Brothers' is on the 'Verboten' list. Luckily it hasn't been an issue just yet with my 11 yr. old girl.
