Ha, just kidding, sort of. This one is droney, but more my hippie side. I was trying to do some native american flute sounding guitar... which is strange. http://www.myspace.com/drrskt
It's thbls (the blues), because I wrote it when extremely depressed, but it's more melancholy than bluesy. I don't know, I've had some tough times come my way with my family, instead of complaining, I"ve just been musically venting a lot, that's my reasoning behind cranking out so many songs, I do really appreciate the listens, BTW.

Not melancholy at all. I dig the electronically tribal stuff. I almost don't like the slight lag in the middle bass part, but then I do, so you have to keep it that way because I said so. |

It's cool Matt, when you make music like that, you run the risk of sounding "new age" or "like an asshippie making world music", but none of that made me want a halfcafe/mochachino -- so mission accomplished! you have successfully avoided those things.
I think the somewhat abrupt end is good, lends to the mood.

That reminds me of something strange I remeber from a documentary I saw on William Eggleston (You probably already know this Bryan being an artist, but he was a photographer, a huge influence on me). Anyways, he was a composer on the side, everyone told him his music was almost depressed sounding. He thought he was making uplifting music. It's strange how we percieve musical moods that fringe on either side of the mood spectrum. I did notice a slight lag in the timing, but since the feel was loose, I just let it hang a bit, I almost like it, since it adds the dream like feel I go for in a lot of my songs.
Blisshead: I know exactly what you mean dude, this song is so World Musicy, it is Mbira and bottle driven rhythmically, and I wanted the lead to sound like Native American flute, and mixed on that, floaty guitar and keys. Sounds like New Age **** to me, ha. Thanks for the listens guys.
